The Pleasant Hill Promenaders dance every Monday night at the Graceland Christian Church located at 2126 East Stateline Rd. Dance time is 8:00-9:30pm. The dance is open to all, and membership is not required. For those who do not square dance, there is also round dancing and country/western line dancing. $3.00 to participate, free to watch. The 8th Annual Crystal Ball - Jan. 19, 6:00 PM. The elegantly cool chill of winter will create the backdrop for "A Crystal Affair". The Crystal Ball is expected to bring together more than 900 people to support the efforts of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi to improve the region's quality of life, within its eight-county service area. The event features dinner, dancing and auctions. Tickets are $125 each and must be bought in advance. 42nd South Civil War and Antique Military Show will be held at the Southaven Arena Saturday, February 16, 2008, 9:00-5:00PM, and Sunday, February 17, 2008, 9:00-4:00PM. This show is one of the oldest shows in the county with visitors from over 15 states and is sponsored by the Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 1312. There will be a wide variety of collectibles such as uniforms, rifles, pistols, swords, books, documents, stamps, and other antique military items dating from 1898. There will be a living history scene with an authentic camp of soldiers in uniform with demonstrated marching. Collectors describe items and answers questions. All profits are used to provide History scholarships at local colleges. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children; Scouts in uniform are half price.
